Carbon reduction planning and reporting is one of the new specialist options available within our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) suite of professional services.
A carbon reduction plan is a crucial document featuring a set of recommendations and key actions to help an organisation with meeting their carbon reduction objectives and targets.
Working collaboratively with your key stakeholders, suppliers and senior leaders, we will review and conduct carbon assessments, looking at your organisation and its carbon emissions from Scope 1, 2 and 3 categories, and we will:
- Prepare a carbon reduction plan with a supporting set of recommendations and action plans carefully aligned with your organisation business and environmental strategies, their goals and targets.
- For private sector clients, we will engage and consult with a range of your senior and cross functional DDaT and sustainability stakeholders and key suppliers to review, research, analyse and prepare a carbon reduction plan.
- For government sector clients, we undertake engagement and consultation with a range of senior and cross functional stakeholders to review and analyse your carbon reduction strategies and conduct a detailed assessment in your DDaT spending portfolios to identify carbon emission hotspots and make recommendations to improve carbon reduction measures for portfolio management and key spending items. This includes assurance and advice on carbon reduction reporting to improve compliance with government sustainability objectives (TCoP Standard #12) and facilitate better alignment with global and UK carbon emission reporting standards.
Further, we will support and advise your organisation to ensure effective and robust carbon reduction emission reporting to Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), The Climate Registry (TCR) and other reporting bodies like the Sustainable Technology Advice and Reporting (STAR) team.
