Lantos provided consultancy to Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) to design and successfully deliver their Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Controls Pipeline process working with Government Digital Service (GDS).
Our primary objective was to implement the DDaT Controls Pipeline process and enable Defra to setup and develop an internal portfolio assurance function to permit spend assurance and approval for digital and technology spending items.
This involved Lantos following a phased Agile approach (Discovery, Alpha and Beta) to ensure the new Controls Pipeline governance, process and portfolio assurance requirements were delivered in a well-designed and effective way which aligned with existing departmental investment approval and technical assurance governance.
We provided consultancy providing interim senior spend and spend assurance services on different types of digital and technology portfolio spending items to ensure Defra secured the necessary Cabinet Office (CDDO) spend approval for several major programmes, projects and digital services.
