CDDO – Cross Government Shared Services DDaT Assurance

Summary

Cross Government DDaT spend and standards assurance activities in the Shared Services area.

March 2023
Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO)

During late 2022 and Q1 2023, Lantos was appointed to provide cross government Digital and Technology assurance services to Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO).

We led the CDDO cross cluster engagement and spend and standards assurance activities in the Shared Services area working directly with Government Business Services (GBS), the Matrix programme (7 departments/agencies – BEIS, AGO, HMT, CO, DIT, DCMS, DHSC and DFE) and the Synergy programme (4 departments/agencies – DWP, Defra, HO and MoJ).

This involved regular engagement with two major Shared Services programmes and undertaking DDaT assurance to the Synergy OBC and Matrix PBC providing detailed advice, support and guidance to help ensure their programme approach and procurement plans reflected government standards and aligned with the Shared Services strategy for Government.

We were jointly responsible with the CDDO senior DDaT advisor lead providing the spend control assurance work necessary to extend the existing Shared Services managed service framework and contractual arrangements with the incumbent provider SSCL for an additional period to enable the Shared Service programmes to procure, design and deliver new services and solutions for their clusters.

Additionally, we helped GBS by conducting a CDDO assurance exercise of their Shared Services Design Principles and provided contributions to help improve and ensure the Shared Services design principles aligned with government Digital and Technology standards.
