Considering your security readiness – Developing a cloud security policy

To help the security strategy and posture of organisations, Tech Target has recently published a short guide to help you develop a cloud security policy and provided a working template for people to use.

This can be read from How to create a cloud security policy, step by step (techtarget.com).

A cloud security policy is a vital component of the overall security strategy employed by organisations and should be prioritised by senior leadership and senior security management, particularly if your organisation relies heavily on leveraging cloud for hosting and delivery of systems or services.

This type of policy defines a set of formal processes and practices to help ensure your organisation has safe and secure operations in the cloud, whether private, public or hybrid cloud being used.

As part of best practice, Lantos would strongly encourage organisations to consider a review in 2021 on the state of their existing cloud security arrangements particularly if it hasn’t been formally reviewed in the last financial year.
